Sharpen Your Axe

Abe Lincoln once said, "Give me six hours to cut down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."

This is precisely the strategy being employed by the conservative insurgence.  We've been sharpening the axe for 2.5 years and the tree will sustain a major blow on November 6, 2012.  The effect of the conservative insurgence, though, runs so much more deeply than what anyone can actually measure.  The sharpening of the axe goes all the way down to party delegates, school boards, city councils, county commission boards, state representatives and so on.  The insurgence runs deep and strong and because of the deep, undetectable roots, there will be no eradication.  The most obvious result of just how engrained the constitutional, conservative sentiment is in the country will come in the presidential election, but that office will be only the tip of the iceberg.  We the People know exactly what we're doing and we will not be out-maneuvered or out-worked.  Neither will we be fooled.

Abraham Lincoln also said on February 23, 1861:
"Freedom is the natural condition of the human race, in which the Almighty intended men to live.  Those who fight the purpose of the Almighty will not succeed.  They always have been, they always will be, beaten."

What the elitists in both parties and the permanent political class will never understand nor accept is that freedom is a force with which to be reckoned and it is bigger than even the free themselves.
