So I've been reading a book geared toward children about the merits of conservatism to our 10-year-old son. Last night I read a comment to him from the book about the fact that our Founders believed government is a necessary evil. He thought about it for a minute, then said, "Mom, government is like grass. You gotta have it, but every once in awhile, you gotta cut it down." Exactly.
Then tonight I had him listen while Mark Levin replayed the remarks made yesterday by mafia...I mean union boss, Jimmy Hoffa, referring to the tea party as SOBs. (The "B" was bleeped out.) After listening to Hoffa scream, my son said, "Mom, he's trying to break us up."
I say we all become like a little child so we can gain wisdom. Kids see things so clearly and have such a snap understanding of right and wrong. My son also informed me men like that aren't going to win because the tea party is going to fix it.
Right again.
