Skunk Scent/Unbridled Arrogance--What's the Difference?

It's getting to the point where I practically recoil whenever BHO speaks.  The astounding level of arrogance is almost impossible to absorb.  Someone close to me works at NASA and shared a sad, sobering and downright depressing article with me, regarding the wind down of our country's historic space program.  The comment that just gutted me was this one:

"We've been there before," Obama said [of another moon landing,] "There's a lot more of space to explore."

Just who does he think he is?  The article, on foxnews.com, also references the military advantages of having a robust space program.  NASA works closely with the military in developing aircraft, ballistics and other essential defense items. The plan put into action is to end our international space station by 2020.  Our current administration is perfectly comfortable with letting China & India take the lead.  This is a massive sign of weakness.  This is a forfeit.  Furthermore, NASA has now received orders to increase the use of synthetic fuels by 50%.  No worries.  It will just mean we ruin our aircraft a lot faster and the fuel will cost many times more than, say, something like petroleum-based fuels.  Do you ever feel like it doesn't matter how fast we bail water because our government is using a fire hose against us?

The president's unmatched arrogance reared its ugly head again today at his 5 millionth televised appearance, this time regarding the debt ceiling argument.  Who does he think he's fooling when he says 80% of Americans support a tax increase?  IF there's a poll that has those results, it was likely conducted on people in his living room.

This man's arrogance is a cover for his sheer ineptness and it has become exceedingly difficult to stomach.
