Good Move, Mr. Speaker

President Obama informed an equal branch of government, also known as Congress, that he plans to address a joint session of Congress during the exact moment the Republican candidates for president will be participating in another televised debate. Speaker Boehner has done the right thing for the time being and made it clear he did not agree to the time slot the president is planning on, plus the speaker has sent this letter to the president, expressing his willingness to approve the following night for the president's "jobs" speech.  The White House spokesperson, Jay Carney, insulted our intelligence again by telling the press corps the president's plan to address Congress during the exact same time of the Republican debate was strictly coincidental.  Uh-huh.

The beauty of the speaker's move is Thursday, September 8 also happens to be opening night for the NFL. The new session of Congress is off to a good start.
