Thank you Military!

Boy, our military just compels a person to love them, don't they?  They command respect.  How on earth does one plan a surprise attack on the most wanted man on the planet, in hopelessly hostile territory and have it end with him on the wrong end of a gun and all the good guys leaving the scene unscathed, deceased enemy in tow?  Unbelievable.  I wanna be them when I grow up.  The privilege of claiming the military has got to be one of the best benefits of American citizenship.  Look at what freedom does.  Freedom breeds undefinable bravery, uncontainable patriotism and unbridled fearlessness.  Freedom commands action and rewards it.  The dogged determination and unrelenting will of our military dwarfs all the static and buzzing that tries to attach itself and claim ownership in their accomplishments.  Our military, with all its glory, all its humility and all its faithfulness causes insincerity in its company to become inconsequential and pushes it beyond the periphery, where it eventually fades into barely a footnote.  The victory of securing bin Laden's demise is theirs and, by default, ours.  What a glorious thing they did for us.

  1. I was kind of hoping your brother-in-law was the one that got to pull the trigger. Then I could, in theory, meet him and give him a big hug.
